Its work forms the scientific basis of decisions taken by public health authorities: regulatory measures, approvals for products, practices, preventive measures, etc.<BR> <BR>It is supported by Expert Committees and other groups of experts set up by the Agency, by the scientific expertise available to it among its staff, and by the work of its 12 reference and research laboratories.
