The Agency recently launched the publication of a new online journal entitled "EuroReference" which serves to promote reference work and facilitate communication about reference topics. Anses' electronic journal on Reference activities Endocrine disruptors: over 350 people present today and tomorrow for a progress report on current knowledge 10 December 2012 Today and tomorrow ANSES in partnership with the Ministry of ecology, sustainable development and energy, is holding an international seminar on "Recent advances in knowledge on the effects of endocrine disruptors on the environment and health". Planned as part of the PNRPE (National research programme on endocrine disruptors), the event provides an update on developments in the current state of knowledge regarding the mechanisms of endocrine disruptors and their impact on health and the environment. ANSES celebrates science! 8 October 2012 As part of France's national Science Festival, held from 10 to 14 October, the general public will be able to visit three laboratories belonging to ANSES. They will discover the broad spectrum of work undertaken there and, for a few days, share in the daily life of researchers. ANSES is granted a new reference laboratory mandate by the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) 11 June 2012 At the May 2012 General Session of the World Organisation for Animal Health, ANSES's Maisons-Alfort Laboratory for Animal Health was entrusted with a new reference mandate, for epizootic haemorrhagic disease. The session was also an opportunity to officially establish the transfer of the paratuberculosis mandate from the Maisons-Alfort laboratory for Animal Health to the Niort Laboratory. ANSES launches its call for research proposals on Environmental and Occupational Health 7 February 2012 As part of the National Research Programme for Environmental and Occupational Health (PNREST), ANSES today launched its call for research proposals in association with the French Agency for Environment and Energy Management (ADEME), the Multi-Organisation Thematic Institute for Cancer (ITMO Cancer) – as part of the 2009-2013 Cancer Plan – and the French National Agency for Water and Aquatic Environments (ONEMA) – under the 2018 Ecophyto Plan. With funding from the French Ministries for the Environment and Labour and from partner organisations, as well as revenue from a tax on radiofrequency transmitters, this call for proposals focuses on research questions raised by ministries and government agencies concerned by environmental and occupational health topics. Bee health: ANSES becomes European Union Reference Laboratory April 1 2011 The Sophia-Antipolis laboratory of ANSES was recently appointed as European Union Reference Laboratory for bee health by the European Commission. This newly-created mandate, the 9th European reference mandate to be entrusted to the Agency, has been assigned to the laboratory for a 5-year period.
