The Agency furthers knowledge and issues scientific assessments. Since it was established, it has issued close to 6,600 opinions and produced approximately 120 reports.
In so doing, it provides a scientific basis for political decision-making, both in the drawing up of regulations and public health policies and to support decision-making concerning professional products and practices.
