Statistician and/or mathematician
Analysis and modelling must accompany all research work: statisticians and/or mathematicians define and implement statistical methods for collecting, managing and processing data within the framework of a research project.

· regulatory qualification required for external recruitment: from 2 years of further education to a PhD (or engineering diploma) depending on the position in question

Epidemiologist
Epidemiologists study the factors for the emergence of diseases, associated morbid phenomena, their frequencies, geographical and socio-economic distributions and trends.
They may carry out:
· epidemiological monitoring of diseases and animal bio-resistance
· research programmes stating the distribution and determinants of these diseases
Recruitment by competitive examination (training and research status or researcher) and/or under contract:

recommended training: veterinary studies
· regulatory qualification required for external recruitment: from undergraduate degree to PhD (or engineering diploma) depending on the position in question

Biology technician
Under an established protocol, biology technicians apply biological techniques with a view to obtaining and studying samples.
On the basis of defined protocols, they may conduct preparatory and analytical experiments using a set of techniques from a particular field: cultures, biological and/or biochemical assays; histological, immunological and biochemical techniques and molecular biology.

· regulatory qualification required for external recruitment: 'A' levels or equivalent

Quality design engineer
Quality design engineers are in charge of designing, producing and implementing quality management systems (QMSs).
They may oversee metrology in a large laboratory and conduct studies on quality systems applied within the field of competence of the laboratory or department in which they work.
Recruitment by competitive examination (training and research status) and/or under contract:
·
scientific option, recommended training: chemistry and/or 3 years of further education in quality or professional equivalent
· administrative option, recommended training: equivalent administrative option from one of the Institutes of Political Science (IEP), or public organisations and 3 years of further education in quality or professional equivalent
· regulatory qualification required for external recruitment: undergraduate degree or level II accredited qualification

Animal keeper
Animal keepers ensure and oversee the accommodation and care of laboratory animals and look after their environment.
They are responsible in particular for:
· ensuring and overseeing the accommodation, care and maintenance of the environment of laboratory animals
· marking and identifying the animals
· keeping a register of the coming and going of the animals

recommended training: animal house, laboratory speciality
· regulatory qualification required for external recruitment: BEP (certificate of vocational education)

Administrator of IT networks
IT is essential for data processing today. Network administrators are responsible for the administration of the IT network. They make sure that the services offered on the internal and external networks are available.
They are responsible in particular for:
· ensuring the availability, reliability and safety of the data circulating on the internal and external networks
· developing the equipment and network services as new needs arise

recommended training: IT sector
· regulatory qualification required for external recruitment: undergraduate degree, etc.

Deputy administrative manager
Under the responsibility of a scientific or administrative manager, deputy administrative managers are in charge of the Agency's secretarial work. They provide team members with logistical support, facilitate information distribution and guide and advise internal and external requesters in what they have to do.
