Agents each have their own characteristics and they interact with exposed living organisms. Today, research continues to address aspects of health and safety for each agent individually by taking account of values beyond which the health risk is known, when they exist. However, issues of exposure at low but multiple doses or to several agents at the same time are now raised in expert assessments.
